Even experienced cross-fitter athletes are not immune to locked hip flexors if they do a lot of sitting for their jobs. Yes, static stretching has its place, but you need to work your hips with a variety of precise movements, in the specific order.

This is where you move a joint through its full range of motion in a progressive manner. Not only does this increase the range of motion around the joint, but it also warms up of the muscles around the joint and improves circulation. Two examples are high knees or butt kicks.
3-Dimensional Core Stability Exercises:
With these exercises, we are targeting the muscle in all planes of movement, so the hip flexors, core, and abdominal muscles have enough flexibility, endurance and strength in all planes of movement. Increased flexibility and strength lead to a decrease damaging stress on joints.
In these exercises, we are targeting the joint and doing actions that help the joint function optimally and to move more freely. I’ll show you the right time to do this in the program.
In this unique technique, we are targeting the fascia, the connective tissue that attaches muscles to bone and other muscles.
